Eugene R. Lucero (Gene Lucero) is the CEO and Principal of the Lucero Financial Group that includes Lucero Real Estate, Inc., Colorado Tierra Mortgage, Inc. and Lucero Tax and Accounting located in Denver, CO.   The Lucero Financial Group was recognized as the Small Business of the Year by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Denver in 2015.

Gene brings extraordinary experience to the leadership of the Lucero Financial Group as he is a licensed real estate broker with over 30 years’ experience, a licensed mortgage loan originator for over 15 years and a income tax and public accountant for over 35 years.  Additionally, he has completed education for insurance and securities licensing in addition to real estate development.

Sonrisa Holding LLC. is the affiliated real estate development arm of the Lucero Financial Group, listing 3930 W. 38th Ave., 3301 W 38th Ave., 3550 W 38th Ave and 2405 W 56th Ave as its current projects for mixed use and residential development.

The newly activated Lucero Development Services is also a member of the Lucero Financial Group providing real estate development and related governmental relation consultation services.

Lucero Real Estate has served the Denver Metro market for over 30 years and has won numerous sales production awards as recognized by the Denver Board of REALTORS.

Colorado Tierra Mortgage  provides a broad spectrum of mortgage products available including commercial.  Down payment assistance for first time home buyers is a specialty.  It possesses relationships with over 10 mortgage wholesalers to provide the best access and choices for a mortgage that fits the clients’ needs.

Gene is the founding chairperson of the Colorado Association of Hispanic Real Estate professionals having served as Chairman for 3 ½ years. He is now an Honorary Board member.  He has served as Secretary of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals Board of Directors (NAHREP) and as the Chairman of the 2004 National NAHREP Marketing Convention and Expo held in Denver in October 2004.  He is recognized as a NAHREP Eagle, symbolic of being one of the top 18 Hispanic real estate entrepreneurs serving the Hispanic Market.

Additionally, at the national level, Gene has served on committees and advisory councils to FANNIE MAE, FREDDIE MAC and NAR.

The Denver Board of REALTORS honored him as the 2004 REALTOR of the Year. He has  served on the boards of Colorado Affordable Housing Partnership, the City of Denver Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development, Metro Brokers, Inc., Stewart Title, the Blue Ribbon Panel on Housing and fulfilled two terms on the State Housing Board for eight years with appointments by Governors  Bill Ritter and John Hickenlooper.

He is a 17-time Million Dollar Round Table awardee of the Denver Board of REALTORS while serving in various capacities for the University of Colorado alumni and was recognized by the University of Colorado Alumni Association with its prestigious George Norlin Award in 2012.

He is recognized as a leader for equal opportunity, diversity, and affordable housing receiving numerous awards from numerous organizations across the Denver metropolitan area.
